Oracle Empowers 50,000 Saudis with AI Training for Vision 2030
Oracle is embarking on an ambitious initiative to provide artificial intelligence training to 50,000 Saudi citizens through the Mostaqbali program. This effort, conducted in collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and Future Work, seeks to empower local talent by offering training and certification in cutting-edge digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things.
Gary Miller, the Executive Vice President and Customer Success Officer at Oracle, shared insights into the multi-year learning program during the Global Labour Market Conference in Riyadh. The initiative is strategically designed to be accessible to all Saudi citizens, aligning with the broader vision of Vision 2030. The program aims to enhance employment prospects within the country, simultaneously supporting regional companies in their digital transformations by providing readily available, skilled local talent.
The visionary goal of Vision 2030 is to ensure that Saudi youth possess the essential technological skills required for employability, particularly in the rapidly evolving landscape of the digital economy. As the Kingdom pursues its digital transformation and endeavors to establish a robust digital economy, the demand for skilled individuals in emerging technologies is on the rise. Miller emphasized the growing interest among young people, including women, in pursuing careers in this field, creating a symbiotic relationship between the aspirations of the workforce and the needs of employers.
The Future Work program, an integral part of this initiative, aims to establish a comprehensive pipeline for training individuals and seamlessly integrating them into the workforce. By fostering a match between trained professionals and companies, the program envisions a scenario where individuals can contribute effectively to the digital economy without the need for extensive additional training upon employment.
In essence, Oracle’s initiative underscores its commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s digital ambitions, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce, and cultivating the leadership potential of Saudi nationals within the country.
